PROS / Avocado Vintage Easy Rider Legging is a stylish and comfortable legging. The medium compression fabric is thick and perfect for winter wear (California winter). The super high waistband is pinch-free and provides great comfort, coverage and support.

CONS / I was disappointed by its quality. After two washes and wears, there is pilling in the crotch and butt area. The heavyweight fabric does not work for high sweaty workouts including my yoga practice (heated room at ~80 degree Fahrenheit).

BOTTOM LINE / Avocado Vintage Easy Rider Legging is breathable and four-way stretch. It's a great legging for gentle and restorative yoga as well as daily wear. It gives a flattering look and provides coverage for the mid section; however, it fall short on the quality. After  two washes, there is noticeable pilling.

I had my eyes on Avocado's leggings for quite some time. Since they don't offer instructor discount, I was waiting for promotion before placing any order. Finally, they offered 25% off before X'mas holiday season last year. They had lots of cute leggings to choose from, but I ended up getting Vintage Easy Riding Legging in Black. I particularly like the vintage wash and moto details of the legging. I've tried many moto leggings, but excess seams / moto panels make them quite uncomfortable to wear. I was pretty excited about Vintage Easy Rider Legging because the style is similar to the moto legging, yet it's seamless. 

Let's take a look of how Vintage Easy Rider Legging performs and fits. 

​1. Size – It is true to size and I wear XS/S. I am Lululemon size 4. If you are Lululemon size 2, it may be too big for you.

2. Style – Full length legging.

3. Inseam – 27.5" long. I can wear it over the heel or with extra fabric gathering around the ankle. 

4. Front Rise – 11.75" high rise.

​5. Waistband – 4.75" flat waistband. 

​​6. Fabric – 92% Nylon and 8% Lycra Spandex. It is heavyweight (thick fabric) and medium compression.

7. Design for – Gentle yoga or any non-sweaty exercise as well as daily wear.

​​8. Cost – Retail price is $95. I paid $78.02 post tax.

9. Stitch Seam – Flatlocking seams.

The legging is made in USA.

Performance - 
I like how stretchy and breathable Avocado Vintage Easy Rider Legging is; however, I find the fabric is too thick for high sweat exercises including my Ashtanga practice and Tabata workout. The legging doesn't dry as fast as lightweight ones from Niyama Sol and Lululemon Nulu and Nulux fabrics. That said, it is great for cold weather. I wore it as under pant when I went skiing few weeks ago. For sure, it kept me stay warm. 

Quality - 
This is a big miss from Avocado. I am very disappointed with the quality. Yoga leggings are supposed to be sturdy and durable, but it is not the case here. After two wears and washes, I already see pilling in the crotch and butt area, which should never happen. Although the legging is constructed with flatlocking seams, there is no gusset. Lastly, the fabric does stretch out, especially the waistband. It becomes loose after wearing for a while. For $95 (or $78.02 that I paid for), I expect much better quality.

​Fit - 
It is true to size and I wear size XS/S. If you are Luluemon size 4 and 6, XS/S should fit. The legging gives a flattering and leggy look. It shapes my body curvatures well. It also provides lots of coverage for the mid section and hides muffin top.

Comfort - 
Comfort is what I like the most of Avocado Vintage Easy Rider Legging. The fabric is cottony soft and the seamless construction makes it very comfortable for long wear. Although the waistband stretches out, it is pinch-free and provides great coverage. Because of the comfort and style, I like to wear it outside the studio (aka work).

There are good and bad attributes of Avocado Vintage Easy Rider Legging.  On the positive side, it gives a flattering look. I like the seamless construction for comfort and high rise unpichable waistband for coverage. The legging is four-way stretch with great breathability. On the negative side, I am disappointed by the quality (pilling after two washes), and the heavyweight fabric is too thick and too warm for high sweat activities.
