Brazil Wear Ceci Capri in Lacey review, Krounchasana (Heron) pose
Top: Athleta Stripe Half Moon Bra, Black/White, XS
Bottom: Brazil Wear Ceci Capri, Lacey, Small
PROS / Brazil Wear Ceci Capri in Lacey is made with soft Supplex fabric, which is very comfortable and stretchy. It is also breathable, fast drying and moisture wicking, great for high sweat activities.

CONS / The Ceci Capri is sewn with plain seams finished by overlocking both pieces together, which tends to leave indent marks on me. The capri is not compressive, hence it does not lift or enhance body curvatures. The fabric is thin. Unless wearing light color underwear or it is see-through.

BOTTOM LINE / If you are looking for a high performance workout capri that is fast drying and moisture wicking, the Ceci Capri definitely suits your need. When it comes to the fit, unfortunately it is not very flattering (at least that's how I feel).

Brazil Wear Ceci Capri in Lacey Review

This is the second time I ordered pants from Brazil Wear. My previous order was the Static Charo Crop in XS. Unfortunately, it was too tight on me that I had to return it (small had sold out). You can probably see my "muffin top" in the right picture. Also, my calf over stretches the cut-outs on the side.

Due to the past experience, I ordered size small for the Ceci Capri (Lacey print) this time. I expected it to be a perfect fit, but it turned out to be too loose (not by much). I could have exchanged for an XS but I was too lazy to do it. Here is my review of the Ceci Capri from Brazil Wear.
Brazil Wear Static Charo Crop
Brazil Wear Ceci Capri in Lacey Review

1. Size – I wear size small, but it's a little bit loose on me. I probably could go with XS, my regular size. Compared to the Static Charo Crop, which runs small, the Ceci Capri is true to size in my opinion..

2. Style – Capri.

3. Inseam – 20.5" long, which rests slightly below my mid calf (I am 5'2").

4. Front Rise – 8.75" standard rise, which sits below my navel. Lately, I prefer high rise leggings as they provide better support and coverage.

5. Waistband – 3.25” waistband. There is another 0.75" wide elastic band sewn inside the waistband on the top edge. I am not sure what that elastic band is for. It doesn't help to hold the pant up. I wonder if I try one size down and the elastic band will actually help to keep the pant up. I have to constant pulling the waistband up to keep it in place.

6. Fabric – 90% Supplex, 10% Spandex. It is  fast drying and moisture wicking which leaves no wet spots during and after high sweat workouts. The fabric is also soft and comfortable that you can wear it all day long.

7. Design for – Heated, non-heated yoga and any other workouts.

8. Cost – Retail price $75. I got it for $60 with 20% discount.

9. Stitch Seam – Plain overlocking seams, which is commonly used on Brazilian leggings.

10. Crotch Seam – Lined diamond shaped gusset.

I have mixed feelings about the Brazil Wear Ceci Capri in Lacey. I like how soft and comfortable the capri is. It is breathable and moisture wicking. It also dries fast without leaving embarrassing sweat spots during yoga classes. However, I am disappointed by its fit and sheerness. Due to lack of body hugging and lifting, the Capri is not very flattering. In addition, I have to pair with light color underwears or it can be see-through.

I think I will give Brazil Wear another chance. Once I see a new pattern I like, I will order it and this time will be in XS.
