PROS / Yvette For A Better Day High Waist Legging is a great budget friendly pants. It covers most needs for workouts. Made with recycled polyester, the cottony fabric is four-way stretch, breathable, and squat proof. The high waist provides great coverage and support. CONS / Due the the plain light color, the legging can't completely hide sweat marks. If it bothers you, please consider the black color instead. Although the 5/8" wide encased elastic band doesn't pinch my skin, I prefer an elastic-free design for ultimate comfort. BOTTOM LINE / I recommend Yvette For A Better Day High Waist Legging to everyone. Not only is it high performance, but it is also budget friendly. The recycled fabric is soft, four-way stretch and breathable. It reminds me of Lululemon Luon but with more support (higher compression), which makes it suitable for various workouts. Hsiaolin Yoga -
While a lot has changed in the past year, my practice continues. I am often asked how I can be disciplined and wake up every morning to be on the mat. It is easy. I treat yoga as a part of my life, just like food and air. I need to eat, to breathe in order to stay alive. Also, do not come up with any excuse to skip the practice, not even for once unless I am ill. If I give myself an excuse to take a day off (even just for once), there will be a second and a third times. I fail to keep up with this blog is one of the examples. I feel inappropriate to share new yoga pants while many people lose their jobs and suffer from Covid. Though it is partially true, it is also my excuse for being lazy. From skipping a week to a month, then it becomes many months. I even wonder if I should continue the blog. I put a lot of effort on creating Yogini's Closet, and I am not ready to let go. So, here comes the first review of 2021. I may not post a new review on a weekly basis, but Yogini's Closet is not going anywhere. About Yvette -Yvette, which means female archer in French, is a professional women sports brand established by Nanjing Yvette Sports Development Co. Ltd., in 2014. The company has 20 years of experience in professional development, design and sales of sports bras since 1999. They were mainly engaged in foreign trade OEM and underwear export business. It wasn't until 2014 when the company shifted the focus to the development path of the brand, Yvette. In 2016, Yvette opened branch offices in Germany and Finland, and gradually penetrated to the global market. In 2017, Los Angeles office was set up to grow American market. You can learn more about Yvette by visiting About Yvette - A Professional Women Sportswear Brand. Be Active, Be Darling, Be Inspired!!! Details of Yvette For A Better Day High Waist Legging -Top: Yvette Shift Light Strappy Bra, Black, S (runs small). Bottom: Yvette For a Better Day High Waist Legging, Pink (78C), S (runs small). This is either my third or fourth time collaborating with Yvette. I truly love their activewear, or I wouldn't be working with them again and again. In fact, I also purchased some items out of my pocket. They release many new items since my last review and I am going to share some of their New Arrivals today.
The legging is made in China. Performance - Made with recycled polyester, Yvette For A Better Day High Waist Legging is cottony soft, four-way stretch, and breathable. It is medium compression, which is suitable for yoga and most workouts. It provides just the right amount of muscles support. The fabric reminds me of Lululemon Luon, cottony feel, but with more compression. This is why the legging can also be worn for higher impact workouts. I am impressed by how well it hides sweat marks. The color of this legging is similar to Lululemon Align Pant II 25" in So Merlot. While Lululemon Align Pant II 25" in So Merlot shows wet spots (so embarrassing), I can barely see darker areas along the hip creases and lower back (as shown in the pictures below) after super sweaty HIIT. The legging is versatile. I wear it for various workouts. However, the cottony fabric seems more suitable for yoga, while the encased elastic band design and compression work better for high impact workouts. Cotton based leggings are often worn by yogis and yoginis, but I seldom see people wearing them for gym workouts. Quality - For a light color legging, I am surprised that it's squat proof even with a dark color panty. It is constructed with flat locking seams and there is a lined gusset for reinforcement. The fabric is similar to Lululemon Luon, which can be prone to pilling. That said, I've worn and washed the legging 5 times, and it's been holding up well. I haven't noticed pilling and color fading. Fit - Size small fits me well, but the ankle is a tab loose. I like its high waist design to keep my belly tucked in and provide support, but I am not a fan of the encased elastic band. Gladly, it is quite wide (5/8") and doesn't pinch the skin. This is more of a personal preference. I know some people like the elastic band design a lot, but that's not me. Overall, it shapes my body and gives the butt a nice lift. It would have been perfect if the inseam is 1 inch shorter. Comfort - I like how Yvette For A Better Day High Waist Legging hugs the body. It makes me feel supported but not restricted. The recycled polyester fabric is cottony soft against the skin. I wouldn't say the encased elastic band causes discomfort, but I much prefer the flat waist design since it is more comfortable for long wear. If you like flat waist leggings, I suggest you check out Yvette Shift Light Legging. Yvette For A Better Day High Waist Legging is a great alternative of Lululemon Wunder Under HR Tight Luon that doesn't break the bank. The recycled polyester fabric is cottony soft, breathable, and sweat wicking. It is medium compression and suitable for a wide range of workouts. The light pink color doesn't fully mask sweat spots, but it is not bad compared to most plain leggings. Other than the encased elastic band, I like everything it offers. Additional Review for Sports Bra -Besides Yvette For A Better Day High Waist Legging, I also received three bras from Yvette. Each of them provides different amount of support and serves for different purposes / activities. Left: Yvette Shift Light Strappy Bra, Black, S (runs small). Middle: Yvette Shift Light Criss Cross Cozy Bra , Green (53G), S (runs small). Right: Yvette Ease Me Seamless Bra, Black, F size.
Yvette Light Strappy Bra -Yvette Light Strappy Bra is a great multi-purpose sports bra. It can be worn for a wide range of workouts, from HIIT and strength training to gentle yoga. However, people with bigger chests may want to consider bras with higher support instead. Since I don't have a big chest, it gives me enough support even when jumping. I could probably size down to XS for more support (I am 34B), but I like the relax fit of size small. As I sweat, it tends to get tighter. The bra comes with molded cups, but they are not removable. The fabric is soft and breathable. It includes a soft microfiber lining to reduce repetitive friction injury. This got to be one of my recent favorite sports bras. Comfort, check! Performance, check! Style / design, check! Yvette Shift Light Criss Cross Cozy Bra -Yvette Shift Light Criss Cross Cozy Bra is a light support bra, suitable for yoga and low impact workouts. The ribbed fabric is buttery soft, light weight, and breathable. It is very comfortable, like the second skin. Size small is a perfect relax fit for me and I would not want it to be any tighter. This sports bra shows sweat spots. If it bothers you, please consider getting the black one instead. The color I get is blue green, less green than its website but greener than pictures I share (the actual color is so hard to capture). It is a crop sports bra, which is a very popular style lately. Thanks Lululemon (Align Tank Top) for starting the trend. It provides more coverage than regular sports bras, yet shows some of the skin to keep me cool. Yvette Ease Me Seamless Bra -Seamless technology, wireless design together with ultra soft fabric make it as comfortable as your second skin. Yvette Ease Me Seamless Bra is by far the most comfortable bra I've ever tried. I own quite a few similar bras, including Uniqlo Relax Seamless Bra and Victoria's Secret Lounge Unlined Scoop Bra. None of them comes nearly as comfortable as Yvette Ease Me Seamless Bra. It is free size. It fits me perfectly and comfortably. I am between 32B to 34B. It has more room to fit people with bigger chests. The bra comes with removable pads for extra coverage. Most importantly, it hides side boobs very well. This bra is designed for all-day wear. It doesn't provide support needed for working out. It may be okay for gentle, restorative yoga, but I have not tried. If you are like me and don't like to wear a bra, this is a must have. I highly recommend it!!! I would definitely get more when I need to go back to the office and wear "normal" clothes again. Similar Reviews -

Getting a sportswear leggings and sports bra of good quality is so difficult now, after few use legging get torn in few stretch and bra quality in not breathable. Work sessions get bad in such poor quality athleisure.

Hi Jones, I totally agree. It's frustrating finding the perfect activewear that looks cute, delivers performance needs and holds high quality. My recent favorites are Beyond Yoga Spacedye leggings and Varley Luna & Let's move leggings.
