PROS / Made with the sleek, medium compression fabric (similar to Lululemon Nulux), CRZ YOGA Naked Feeling High Waist Legging - 25 Inches is great for both yoga and gym workouts. It is stretchy, breathable, sweat wicking and fast dry. I like how the high waist keeps everything tucked in and the elastic-free design doesn't pinch the skin. CONS / The fabric isn't cut perfectly resulting in triangle pieces hanging along the seam on the inside of the legging. The good news is that there is no impact on its appearance, fit and performance. BOTTOM LINE / CRZ YOGA Naked Feeling High Waist Legging is a great dupe of Lululemon WU HR Tight Nulux. For $24, it provides literally everything I need for various exercises, including asana practice, HIIT and weight lifting. Moreover, it keeps my belly tucked in and gives a flattering fit. Yogini's Chit-Chats -Last week, I mentioned how everything in this world was impermanent. Not only does the external world change, I am changing every second. My body feels different everyday. I get excited making progress in certain asanas, but I am disappointed when the practice doesn't meet my expectation. I am getting better in my backbends and my hips are gradually opening up for eka pada sirsasana; however, the twisting (mainly pasasana) is getting "worse." I was able to bind easily in spring and summer. As soon as it got cold in Oct, I could barely clasp fingers in pasasana and it has been this way since then. I always tell my students not to be attached to the good feeling, not to be upset of making no progress. Now, I am telling those words to myself. The body goes through cycles, just like there are four seasons a year. What I go through is normal. Certain part of the body can be tighter in winter and more open in summer. It is totally fine not being able to bind with ease in pasasana. That said, I still get frustrated every now and then because I am attached to the previous experience, being able to bind. Patanjali Yoga Sutra 2.7 - Attachment and aversion is only a fine line between. I am attached to the experience of being able to bind with ease in pasasana, so I keep seeking after the pleasurable experience (victory). When I can't get the same victorious feeling I used to have, the attachment to pasasana turns into the aversion. Having all sorts of feelings is unavoidable. It is totally normal because that makes human beings unique. However, whatever experience or feeling I have is temporary and impermanent. There is no need to drag it on and live my life miserably to chase for the past. As taught in yoga, Live In The Present Moment! About CRZ YOGA -Unfortunately, there is limited information I can find about the brand, CRZ YOGA. It belongs to a multinational e-commerce company QL, which was founded in 2005. QL focuses on designing, R&D, manufacturing and selling a wide range of women's clothing. In addition to CRZ YOGA, other QL's sub brands include, The philosophy of QL is to bring more pleasure to women and care for women from all aspects. They design garments to make women feel free, comfort and supported. From tops to bottoms, CRZ YOGA designs various collections to bring high performance and comfort to women's workouts.
Among these collections, the first six are specifically for leggings. Table below shows the comparisons between them in terms of compression, elasticity and thickness. By the way, the information comes from CRZ YOGA. I have not tested all collections myself. What I am going to share today is CRZ YOGA Naked Feeling High Waist Legging, part of the Naked Feeling collection. It is highly rated and has over 1,200 four star reviews on Amazon. I've also tried Coated Faux Leather Legging, which I will share in the near future.
Details of CRZ YOGA Naked Feeling High Waist Legging in Camo -Am I attached to Budget Stretching Pants or fed up with over-priced activewear? Top: Yvette Sculpt Strappy Sports Bra, Black, S (true to size; I am between 32-34B). Bottom: CRZ YOGA Naked Feeling High Waist Legging, Camo Multi, XS (true to size). There are so many budget friendly and highly rated workout / yoga leggings on Amazon. I don't even know where to start. I have been eyeing on CRZ YOGA for quite some time. The reason it took me so long to finally try their products is because they don't make many patterned leggings. They have few patterns, but none of them is really my style. This camo pair is more of a compromise. I don't particularly like camouflage, but it is a popular pattern this season. Since I don't own any camo legging, why not give CRZ YOGA Naked Feeling High Waist Legging in Camo a try. Here comes the third review of Budget Stretching Pants Series.
It is made in China. Performance - CRZ YOGA Naked Feeling High Waist Legging reminds me of Lululemon WU HR Tight Nulux. The silky smooth fabric is medium compression, more muscles support than Colorfullkoala High Waisted Patterned Legging (Lululemon Align Dupe). That said, it might fall short on compression for running, but more than enough for HIIT and weight lifting. It features four-way stretch, moisture wicking and fast dry properties. Since it is not super high rise (sits slightly above my navel), the waistband stays in place and does not fold down with movement. I purposely choose a patterned legging this time to avoid showing sweat stains. Quality - The legging is constructed with durable flatlocking seams. Mimicking Lululemon Align Pants, there is no gusset but a panel extended down to the mid calf for reinforcement. There is a hidden pocket on the waistband. The fabric seems to be more durable than Colorfullkoala High Waisted Patterned Legging (another Budget Stretching Pant). There is no fuzzballs when rubbing against the skin and no pilling after several wears and washes. It also has a good shape retention property. I notice the fabric is not neatly cut. As circled in the picture below, there are two triangle pieces of fabric hanging along the seam inside of the legging. I bought three pairs of leggings from CRZ YOGA, and this happened on all of them. Luckily, it doesn't affect the appearance, fit and performance of the legging. This would not happen on expensive leggings, at least I've never seen it, when a more stringent quality control is in place. Fit - It is true to size and I wear my regular size XS. I love the high waistband. It keeps the belly tucked in and hides the muffin top. It is nice that CRZ YOGA makes different lengths, 25" and 28". The 25" inseam (measured 26") is a perfect sneaker length for me. There is no extra fabric gathering at the ankle. Overall, it gives a flattering fit. Compared to Lululemon WU HR Tight Nulux, this pair provides a better hug of the body. The fabric is less slippery and the legging stays in place throughout the practice and workout, whereas Lululemon WU HR Tight Nulux frequently slides down. Comfort - The silky smooth plus medium compression fabric provides a comfortable and body hugged fit. As described, CRZ YOGA Naked Feeling High Waist Legging also gives a naked sensation, just like Lululemon Nulu and Nulux fabrics. The elastic-free (flat) waistband doesn't pinch the skin. It is a comfortable legging that I can wear all day long. CRZ YOGA Naked Feeling High Waist Legging is a great Lululemon WU HR Tight Nulux dupe (the design is similar to Align Pants, but the fit and function are closer to WU HR Tights Nulux). It is versatile and can be worn for various activities from yoga to HIIT. The silky soft fabric is medium compression. It features four-way stretch, moisture wicking and fast dry properties. The elastic-free high waist provides support and hides the muffin top. There is nothing more I can ask for. If someone tells me the legging costs more than $50, I would totally believe. That's how good CRZ YOGA Naked Feeling High Waist Legging is. More Reviews from Budget Stretching Pants Series -
