PROS / Athleta Elation Shimmer Tight is made with one of my favorite materials, Powertiva, with a shimmering finish. It is buttery soft, four-way stretch, breathable and moisture wicking. The medium compression fabric provides a gentle hug and the high waist keeps everything tucked in.

CONS / The tight runs big and the inseam is too long for me even the petite size. The shimmering finish is prone to VPL. In addition, it leaves embarrassing sweat spots. 

BOTTOM LINE / Athleta Elation Shimmer Tight is a high performance yet stylish legging. There is no doubt that Powervita covers all the needs for yoga and gym workouts. It would have been perfect if it doesn't leave sweat spots. For a true size fit, do size down; however, it is more likely to show VPL.

PROS / Athleta Niyama 7/8 Tight is made with one of the softest fabric, Powervita, by Athleta. It is medium high compression giving the body a gentle hug. The material is four-way stretch, breathable and sweat wicking. The high waist helps keep everything tucked in and laser cut details provide airflow during the practice.

CONS / The cottony soft Powervita fabric is a lint magnet. Note that the lint isn't noticeable on a patterned tight, i.e., Athleta Elation Virasana Stripe 7/8 Tight.

BOTTOM LINE / Athleta Niyama 7/8 Tight is a high performance and stylish legging. Powervita fabric covers all the needs for yoga and the high waist offers tons of support. No only do the laser cut details provide airflow, but they also make a plain legging pop. My favorite design has to be side pockets. They are practical and easy assess.

PROS / Athleta Elation Virasana Stripe 7/8 Tight is made with buttery soft Powervita fabric. It is four-way stretch, breathable and moisture wicking. The high waist provides excellent support and coverage for the midsection, and the legging creates a leggy look. 

CONS / I find the legging doesn't keep me stay cool during workout including yoga. The fabric is heavier weight than my preference.

BOTTOM LINE / Athleta Elation Virasana Stripe 7/8 Tight is a classic, must have legging. Other than the fact that it doesn't help me stay cool, it covers most needs for yoga and gym workouts. The stripe gives a flattering fit and the high waist keeps everything tucked in. 

PROS / Athleta Elation Glades 7/8 Tight, made with recycled Nylon, is four-way stretch, breathable and sweat wicking. The fabric is light weight and low compression, great for heated and non-heated yoga. The high waist provides lots of support and coverage.

CONS / The encased elastic waistband doesn't work for me. It is narrow and not stretchy. I struggle a lot to pull the pant up. I worry that I may rip it off. Once I have the legging up, it fits fine on the waist.

BOTTOM LINE / Athleta Elation Glades 7/8 Tight is a great legging for yoga. I am surprised that the encased "inelastic" band doesn't dig or pinch my skin. The high waist provides great coverage. The recycled material (similar texture to jacquard fabric) is light weight and breathable. 

I know I have shared quite a few seamless leggings. Before finding the "perfect" one, my search will continue. Among all the ones I've tried and reviewed so far, none of them are scored more than 9.0 except for Alala Seamless Legging. Some common problems I have experienced with seamless leggings are VPL, camel toe and non performance fabric (lack of elasticity, not sweat wicking, not breathable, etc).

Couple months ago, I posted a review, A Miss from Lululemon - Reveal Tight Precision 25". AlthoughI really like the design, I was thrilled by how sheer it was. Since then, I have been looking for seamless leggings with similar laser cut details but I can actually wear to yoga (not see-through). I was so excited when seeing Athleta Trophy Seamless 7/8 Tight online. Given the similarity of the design between these two, I was hoping the fabric of Athleta Trophy Seamless 7/8 Tight would be as soft and stretchy as Lululemon Reveal Tight Precision 25" but not see-through. Well, let's take a look whether Athleta Trophy Seamless 7/8 Tight is the perfect seamless legging I've been looking for.
