I am going to share something slightly different to what I normally post today. Last week, Lululemon introduced New Curved Waistband for Always On High-Rise Tight 28". It makes me wonder if that is going to be the new trend after the high / ultra high waist leggings. Five years ago, high waist leggings became popular. Almost everyone I know loves the coverage and support they provide. I rarely see people wearing standard waist leggings in yoga world today. In fact, I am a big lover of high waist leggings.
I am definitely seeing more V-shaped Waistband or Curved Waistband leggings in the market these days. The first one that caught my attention is Beach Riot Cara Legging, which I believe was released last year (but I could be wrong). I thought that was just the style designed by Beach Riot. For that reason, I didn't put too much thought into it until I saw Lululemon brought the Curved Waistband to the market last week followed by Glyder. I did some research and found quite a few brands making similar style leggings. Since they are still new to me and I haven't had chance to test any out, I don't know if I am going to like them more than high waist leggings. That said, I still want to share what brands are making v-shaped / curved waistband leggings today.
Note: The following leggings are sorted by their prices (high to low).
Among these leggings, I am interested in Core 10 'Build You Own' Yoga Pant the most because I've never tried the brand. Moreover, it is highly rated and the price is right. If you own any of the leggings mentioned above, I'd love to hear from you.

PROS / Lululemon WU HR Tight in Luminosity Foil Print Black Black is a slick yet high performance legging. It is made with the high compression Full-On Luxtreme fabric. It is four-way stretch and sweat wicking. It provides great breathability and helps me stay cool during practice. The flat waistband is comfortable and keeps everything tucked in.
CONS / It is too long for my height (5'2"). Unless I wear the legging over the heel or I have to be ok with the extra fabric gathering around the ankle. Even though Lululemon offers free hemming service, I feel it changes the look of the legging and ends up fitting loose at the ankle.
BOTTOM LINE / Lululemon WU HR Tight in Luminosity Foil Print Black Black is my favorite shine, shimmering legging. Not only does it give a flattering look, but it also covers needs (performance wise) for yoga and gym workouts. I really like how it hugs my body with the flat waistband keeping everything tucked in.
Overall Rating - 9.4 / 10
PROS / Lululemon Train Times 7/8 Tight 25" is a great legging designed for gym workouts. It provides sufficient compression for muscles support. Full-On Luxtreme fabric helps to keep me stay cool during exercising and the high waist provides great support and coverage.
CONS / While the high waist makes me feel covered and secured, it can be too much compression for yoga. The legging appears to be less flattering than Lululemon Wunder Under Pants on me.
BOTTOM LINE / I like the fit and performance of Lululemon Train Times 7/8 Tight 25" for high impact exercises. Full-On Luxtreme fabric is four-way stretch, breathable, moisture wicking and fast dry. It is high compression and provides "hugged" sensation. The waistband stays put and makes me feel covered throughout the training.

PROS / Lululemon Align Pant II 25" is made with the buttery soft Nulu fabric. It is lightweight, four-way stretch and moisture wicking. It gives the next-to-nothing sensation that you would never want to take the pant off. The high waist provides extraordinary support and coverage for the midsection.
CONS / The pastel color, So Merlot, shows noticeable sweat spots at hip creases during and after the workout. Wearing a seamless underwear is a must to avoid VPL. As to the fit, it is a little bit loose on my ankle.
BOTTOM LINE / Lululemon Align Pant II 25" in So Merlot provides most needs for yoga, including four-way stretch and breathability. The high waist keeps everything tucked in. It would have been a perfect yoga pant if it doesn't leave embarrassing and noticeable sweat spots.
I know I've been reviewing way too many seamless leggings lately, and here comes another one. I have Lululemon Reveal Tight Lattice Paisley 28" in the queue for a while and I keep pushing it out because I don't want to bore you with another miss of the seamless legging. You may remember the previous review of Lululemon Reveal Tight Precision 28". Many Lulu fans were as excited as me when it was released, but horrified by how sheer it was at the same time. Few months later, Lululemon introduced Reveal Tight Lattice Paisley 28" and Reveal 7/8 Tight Vortex 25". With the hope of Lululemon taking customers' feedback and addressing the see-through fabric of Reveal Tights Precision, I decided to give it another shot. Let's take a look of Lululemon Reveal Tight Lattice Paisley 28".
