About Confused Girl -Top: Lululemon Free To Be Bra*Wild, Size 4 (true to size) Bottom: Confused Girl Serenity Legging , Size S (run small) Confused Girl started as a blog in 2013 by Giovanna Silvestre, the founder of Confused Girl. Giovanna was lost at that time and blogging became the way of sharing her feelings with others. Her blog put her on a spiritual journey to find the true nature. Along the journey, she met a healer who had profound effect on her. One day, the healer asked her to pick two of his collection of crystals to bring home. While she was meditating, she had a vision of creating women's activewear that was inspired by these crystals. With no money but an idea, she started Confused Girl to build the bridge between Spirit & Activewear by incorporating healing crystal into the design. Couple years later, Confused Girl were featured in multiple magazines, including VH1, Yoga Digest, Yoga Magazine, Silicon Beach Magazine and on the cover of LA Yoga. She made her dream come true. 1. Size – I wear size small, one size up to my normal size based on the recommendation from Giovanna. I may be able to fit in an XS because there is some room on the waist. That said, small is a pretty comfortable fit. For your reference, I wear Lululemon size 4. 2. Style – Full length legging. 3. Inseam – 28" long. There are lots of excess fabrics bunching around my ankle that I can wear it over the heel (I am 5'2). 4. Front Rise – 10" high rise (with the waistband folded), which goes up to my navel. 5. Waistband – 4.5” waistband. It's a wide fold over waistband. I like the style as it provides great coverage and support. It also makes the legging more fun to wear. |
6. Fabric – 90% Polyester, 10% Lycra. Since it is a light color legging, it is see-through. With a nude underwear, I can slightly see the line/shape of the underwear when bending over. I wear seamless hipster underwear, which should not have this problem. I've checked with Giovanna, and she confirmed the dark colored leggings like Abundant Legging are 100% opaque. Also, you may not have the problem by wearing different type of underwear, such as a thong.
7. Design for – The legging can be worn for heated and non-heated yoga. Since the fabric is low compression, I prefer wearing it for yoga rather than gym workouts.
8. Cost – Retail price $72. I received it as a gift from Confused Girl. By using the code yoginiscloset, you can receive 15% off discount.
9. Stitch Seam – Not flat locking seams, which leaves dent marks on my legs but do not cause discomfort. The sign of seams being stretched out is quite noticeable. It is common with plain seams. There is no impact on performance or comfort, but rather a cosmetic appearance.

10. Crotch Seam – No gusset. Since I always wear an underwear when exercising, I don't mind whether there is gusset or not.
Leggings from Confused Girl are all made in Los Angeles.
You can see the sign of seams being stretched out in the picture below as well.
Overall, the Serenity Legging is comfortable to wear all day long. Its four-way stretch and sweat wicking fabric is great for yoga, especially heated classes. It shapes my legs well, but does not lift the bum as well as other leggings like Varley Union Legging and Niyama Sol Esme Beachcomber Crop. In general, low compression fabric (the Serenity Legging) does not enhance body curvatures as well as high compression one, but it is more comfortable for long time wear. One problem I have with the Serenity Legging is that it is see-through. With a nude seamless hiphugger underwear, I can still see the outline when bending over. If you used to wear different type of underwear, it may not be an issue. This is always a concern when wearing light color leggings.
