Overall Rating - 8.7 / 10PROS / Made with Liquido's custom Poly-Lycra blend fabric, the 7/8 Legging Peacock Plumage offers exceptional comfort and outstanding performance for yoga. It is stretchy, breathable and fast dry. The 7/8 length fits perfect for my height. CONS / The overlocking seam is my least favorite part of the legging. It doesn't seem very sturdy to me as I can see the signs of stitches being stretched out, especially the back rise. BOTTOM LINE / I am satisfied with the performance of Liquido Active 7/8 Legging Peacock Plumage or Liquido wouldn't be one of my top picks. The fabric is super stretchy, soft and comfortable. I really like to wear it to practice yoga. However, I have two complaints: 1) overlocking seams and 2) no gusset. Both have become more of a deal breaker for me nowadays. Details of Liquido 7/8 Legging Peacock Plumage -I meant to publish this review last week, but I had too much going on at work and my sister was visiting me from Taiwan. I decided to cut some slack. Speaking of which, I will be taking 300 YTT (yoga teacher training) from mid July through August. That means I will take some time off here. I hope to share my practice and training during that time, but I can't guarantee that because it is intensive, 6 days as week from 6AM to 6PM. We will see -:) Top: Lululemon Flow Y Bra, size 6 (true to size, I wear one size up for a more relax fit). Bottom: Liquido Active 7/8 Legging Peacock Plumage, XS (true to size). I notice that Liquido made some changes of their business model last year. There used to be some retailers, i.e., Northern Star Yoga, selling their leggings, but they are only available at their official website now. In addition, they also carry size XS and XL today, which were not offered in the past. I own probably 15-20 pairs of their leggings and all of them are in size small. Although they fit me, I still want to try XS for a more compression hug. Here comes my review of Liquido Active 7/8 Legging Peacock Plumage in size XS. Unfortunately, I waited too long to post this review, this particular pattern (Peacock Plumage) has sold out. However, their sizing is pretty consistent and I hope you can use this review as a guideline.
The legging is made in Brazil. Performance - I love Liquido Active 7/8 Legging Peacock Plumage for its ultra soft fabric. Not only is it four-way stretch, it is also breathable and fast dry. It is perfect for yoga including the heated class. The elastic-free waistband stays put throughout my practice. With all the needs for yoga, no wonder Liquido leggings are so popular in the Ashtanga community. Please note that the fabric is not high compression and I don't recommend it for high impact workouts. Quality - Overlocking seams doesn't seem to be durable to me. Once the stitches are stretched out, they are irreversible. The inseam being stretched out is quite noticeable, as shown in the picture below. In addition to the inseam, the back rise has the same issue. This has to be my biggest complaint of the legging. I wish Liquido will consider using the flatlocking seam and adding a gusset in the near future. On the flip side, the legging is completely opaque. Fit - After trying XS and S, I think both sizes fit about the same. However, I prefer the S over XS because XS isn't a more compression fit as I was hoping and the sign of stitches being stretched out is worse than a small. On the other hand, I would choose my regular size (XS) for Liquido Om Legging (designed by Kino) because its stitching (flatlocking seams for the front and back rise) and fabric are slightly different to the Patterned Legging. The legging is standard rise. The flat waistband sits right below the navel, which is lower than the Om Legging. Either one is fine as both are pinch free, but the Om Legging provides more coverage. Overall, the legging looks okay on me. It gives a leggy look, but it doesn't lift or shape the butt (worse than the Om Legging). Lululemon and Niyama Sol are much better in shaping the body curvatures in my opinion. Comfort - The legging is comfortable. I could wear it all day long. Not only is the flat waistband pinch-free, it also keeps everything tucked in. I purchase Liquido Leggings mainly for their comfort. Of course, I like their performance as well. I highly recommend Liquido Active 7/8 Legging Peacock Plumage to everyone who is looking for a comfortable and high performance yoga pant. The fabric is soft, stretchy, breathable and sweat wicking. The elastic-free waistband stays put and keeps the tummy tucked in. While there are a lot to like about it, I am disappointed by how it's sewn together with overlocking seams. Even so, I keep buying Liquido's leggings when they are on sale because of the outstanding performance and supreme comfort. Related Reviews -
