While Liquido Patterned Legging is one of the Best Yoga Pants of 2017, its compression legging is not the case. The patterned legging is low to medium compression, not ideal for training and gym workouts. When I saw the compression legging online, I was hoping for a tighter fit, more "hug" for high impact activities. BUT, the truth is that the legging has a major design flaw. The sewing thread on the hem is not stretchy at all. There isn't enough room to go around the ankle. It looks like I purposely wear the pant over the ankle. Unbelievable!
Since I can't to wear Liquido Compression Legging for any workout, I am not going to provide the full review today. By the way, the pattern Leaf in Peace has sold out, but other patterns are still available. I highly suggest to check the return policy before purchasing one in case running into the same problem as me (can't pull the hem around the ankle).
Leaf in Peace is a beautiful print; unfortunately, the legging is going to the recycle bin. I am not able to wear it for anything occasion and activity.
The legging is made in Brazil. Performance - I don't know whether Liquido Compression Legging is breathable, sweat wicking and fast dry, but it's clear to me that the fabric is not 4-way stretch. It seems to be 2-way stretch. There is less elasticity in side way direction compared to the long way. Quality - Liquido Compression Legging is made with overlocking seams without a gusset. I am hoping Liqudo will change the construction method in the near future. In general, flatlocking seams is more durable and comfortable; while overlocking seams tend to leave dent marks on the skin and show signs of stitches being stretched out. As to the fabric, it's not as soft and stretchy as typical Liquido Patterned Leggings. What disappointed me the most is the inelastic sewing thread used on the hem in addition to the 2-way stretch fabric. Fit - As much as I want to like this legging, I simply can't. I am not sure how others actually "wear" it. Like the picture I am showing below, the hem is stuck over my foot. I can't pull it up and over the heel. There is no room to go around the ankle. It looks like I am purposely wearing the legging over the heel, but I am not. The problem can be due to the 2-way stretch fabric, inelastic sewing thread or both. Given the fact that I can't pull the pant all the way up (crotch hangs low), the waistband slides down and sits low. As a result, it doesn't provide coverage or support. With that said, I do notice Liquido Compression Legging creates a leggy look and shapes my legs nicely. None of it matters if I can't WEAR it.
I do not recommend Liquido Compression Legging. I would stick with their Patterned Leggings. The Compression Legging does provide more compression, but it lacks of elasticity at the same time. The fabric is not nearly as soft as the Patterned Legging. Given its inelastic fabric and sewing thread, I am throwing it away.
