Overall Rating - 9.4 / 10PROS / Lululemon Train Times 7/8 Tight 25" is a great legging designed for gym workouts. It provides sufficient compression for muscles support. Full-On Luxtreme fabric helps to keep me stay cool during exercising and the high waist provides great support and coverage. CONS / While the high waist makes me feel covered and secured, it can be too much compression for yoga. The legging appears to be less flattering than Lululemon Wunder Under Pants on me. BOTTOM LINE / I like the fit and performance of Lululemon Train Times 7/8 Tight 25" for high impact exercises. Full-On Luxtreme fabric is four-way stretch, breathable, moisture wicking and fast dry. It is high compression and provides "hugged" sensation. The waistband stays put and makes me feel covered throughout the training.
Details of Lululemon Train Times 7/8 Pant 25" -As much as I like to explore new activewear brands, I haven't scouted one that catches my attention lately. On the other hand, I have been investing lots of leggings from Lululemon and Athleta. That means you will see me reviewing their pants for few more weeks. Top: Lululemon Twist & Train Bra, Black, Size 4 (true to size). Bottom: Lululemon Train Times 7/8 Pant 25", Eternal Wave Starlight Black / Black, Size 4 (true to size). Yoga is my main practice, but I also take Tabata and strength training classes to complement yoga. While most of leggings can be worn for either exercise, some are more ideal for yoga and vice versa. Today's review of Lululemon Train Times 7/8 Pant 25" is a legging that suits better for training than yoga. I believe this is my first time sharing the tight that doesn't work well for yoga.
The legging is made in Cambodia. Performance - When it comes to gym workouts, I like to wear high compression leggings with tons of support for the waist. Lululemon Train Times 7/8 Tight 25" fits right in. As described online, Full-On Luxtreme fabric is four-way stretch, sweat-wicking and fast dry. It is high compression and offers great support and coverage with a cool, smooth feel. The waistband comes with a drawcord. Without pulling the drawstring, it can stay put throughout the workout. Unless you want extra support, I don't see the need of it. Full-On Luxtreme is used on various Lululemon leggings including Wunder Under Pants. While some Wunder Under Pants and Train Times Tights are made with the same fabric (Full-On Luxtreme), Wunder Under Pants are designed for both yoga and training, but Train Times isn't ideal for yoga. The reason is due to differences in construction, particularly the waistband. There is reinforcement (extra seams on the back and a drawcord) added to the waistband to provide more support. Moreover, there are side seams along outer legs, which can give a tighter fit. Speaking of which, I notice Lululemon Train Times 7/8 Tight 25" shares lots of similarities to Outdoor Voices Tech Sweat 3/4 Legging. Quality - The tight is constructed with flatlocking seams throughout and the gusset is lined. I am skeptical about the mesh because it can be scratchy. Surprisingly, the mesh panel along the bottom leg of Lululemon Train Times 7/8 Tight 25" is soft. I can barely feel its presence. Fit - It is true to size and I wear a size 4. I like how the high waist keeps everything tucked in and hides the muffin top. I am not sure whether it is the design or the pattern, Lululemon Train Times 7/8 Tight 25" doesn't enhance my body curvatures well. Although it lifts the butt nicely, it doesn't create a leggy look. Other than that, I am satisfied with the fit. Comfort - While high compression leggings can give a snug fit (too much of restriction), Lululemon Train Times 7/8 Tight 25" is comfortable for long wear. It provides "hugged" sensation without cutting off the blood circulation. Being a fan of the flat waist, I actually don't mind the drawcord because it is flat against my waist, pinch free and comfortable. Lululemon Train Times 7/8 Tight 25" isn't designed for yoga, but it's a good pair for training and high impact workouts. The high compression Full-On Luxtreme fabric provides great muscles support. It is four-way stretch, sweat wicking and fast dry. The high waist offers tons of support and coverage, and it stays put with movement. As much as I like everything about it, I find the legging less flattering (doesn't create a leggy look) than most of Lululemon pants. Related Reviews -
