Author's Rating - 9.9 / 10Top: Lululemon Free to Be Bra (Wild), Size 4 (true to size) Bottom: Lululemon WU HR Tight Nulux 28", Polychromatic, Size 4 (true to size)
When I was drafting this article, Lululemon Wunder Under High Rise Tight Nulux 28" in Polychromatic 50g multi black was still available online. As I checked again before publishing this review, it has been sold out on the U.S. site, but it's still available on Canada's site. That said, I still want to share it with you because Nulux is by far my favorite fabric. About Lululemon -Top: Lululemon Free to Be Bra (Wild), Size 4 (true to size) Bottom: Lululemon WU HR Tight Nulux 28", Polychromatic, Size 4 (true to size) I've reviewed quite a few leggings from Lululemon and introduced the brand in my previous posts, Lululemon WU Crop & WU Pant *HR and Lululemon Revitalize Tight. For that reason, I will skip this section today. YOGINI'S CLOSET UNFOLD - |
1. Size – I wear my regular Lululemon size 4. 2. Style – Full length legging. 3. Inseam – 28" long. I wish it comes with 7/8 tight. I think 3 to 4" shorter would have been perfect for my height. I am 5'2". 4. Front Rise – 10.5" high rise. It goes up to my naval. Ever since Lululemon introduces HR (high rise) leggings to the market, I don't want to go back to low rise (or standard rise) ones anymore. 5. Waistband – 4.75" wide waistband. It provides great support and coverage. 6. Fabric – 83% Nylon, 17% Lycra Elastane. It is by far the softest and smoothest fabric I've tried. It's like wearing nothing yet providing enough coverage. It's 100% opaque. The lightweight fabric is moisture wicking and dries super fast. It is four-way stretch and low in compression, which is perfect for yoga but not so great for high intensity workouts (higher compression would be better). |
7. Design for – It can be worn for heated & non-heated yoga as well as gym workouts although it may not be the best candidate for high impact exercises due to the low compression fabric. 8. Cost – Retail price $128. I received 25% off through Sweat Collective Program. It is a lot more expensive than other WU HU Tights that are made with Luon or Luxtreme fabrics. By the way, I received an email this week that 25% discount is available for both full-priced and markdown items in-store and online, which could only be used on full-priced items before. 9. Stitch Seam – Comfortable flat locking seams. |
10. Crotch Seam – Lined triangle gusset.
There is a hidden pocket. Unlike the typical pocket with the opening on the top, it is on the inner side of the waistband. Though the pocket is big, but the opening is not. It only allows to fit items no larger than credit card size.
The Polychromatic WU HR Tight Nulux 28" is made in Sri Lanka.

If you have not tried the newest fabric, Nulux, from Lululemon, you should definitely check it out. It is my favorite performance fabric. When I first tried legging made with Full-On Luxtreme fabric in the store last year, I thought that was the best until I met Nulux fabric. I bought my first Nulux legging, Entwined WU HR, couple months ago and Polychromatic Wunder Under Hi-Rise Tight was the second. Ever since I purchased the first Nulux legging, I knew it was not going to be last.
Here are the reasons why I like Nulux fabric so much:
- Super soft and silk smooth
- Lightweight
- 100% opaque
- Moisture wicking
- Fast dry
- Ease of movement
- Barely-there sensation (this is what I like the most)
Other than Nulux fabric I love about Lululemon Polychromatic Wunder Under Hi-Rise Tight, I also like the high rise and full coverage waistband. Not only does drawcord-free waistband stay put throughout my yoga practice, but it is also pinch free. The inner hidden pocket is a bonus (Entwined WU HR does not have the pocket) though I don't use it. Since it is so comfortable to wear, I am okay with the fact that is does not lift and sculpt my butt as nicely as other WU pants made with Luon and Full-On Luxtreme fabrics. Well, it is still better than some of the leggings I've reviewed. If I really have to pick one thing I dislike, it has to be the price. I don't know how Lululemon justifies $30 price increase on Nulux fabric.
Where to buy -
Unfortunately, Lululemon Polychromatic Wunder Under Hi-Rise Tight Nulux 28" has sold out online (U.S. site), but I find it is still available on Canada site. You can also check out your local stores. Some stores may still have it available.
