L'urv Spot Me Legging Review. Using Dharma Yoga Wheel makes Grasshopper pose more accessible.
Grasshopper Variation using Dharma Yoga Wheel
Top: Lululemon Free To Be (Wild) Bra in Size 4.  Bottom: L'urv Spot Me Legging in Size Small.
PROS / L'urv Spot Me Legging is fun and unique. It features chafe-free flat locking seams and moisture wicking. Its comfort high waistband with right amount of compression helps enhance your natural curves.

CONS / Breathability is only so-so. Waistband fits loose on me (maybe small is too big for me and I should wear my normal size XS instead).

BOTTOM LINE / It's a perfect legging for yoga, gym and daily outgoing wear. Since breathability is not the greatest, I would not suggest to wear it to over 90°F heated yoga classes.

When searching for new GEM, I sometimes look up brands by country. For example, I would type in "Australian yoga pants" to see what brands show up. And, this is how I discovered L'urv. Four countries, America, Australia, Brazil and Canada, design the most leading edge activewear.

L'urv Spot Me Legging UNFOLD -

I am a fan of "FUN" patterned yoga pants and L'urv totally falls in that category. I've bought two pairs of leggings from L'urv so far, London Pop and Spot Me. London Pop is classic houndstooth pattern and Spot Me is my all-time favorite polka dot. I am going to UNFOLD Spot Me first. Review of London Pop will come later.

1. Size – I wear size Small. I always order one size up from Australian activewear brands. I actually feel the waist is a little bit loose, but the rest fits me well. Since I have not tried XS, I don't know if it would be better fit.

2. Style – Ankle legging.

3. Inseam – 28". A little bit longer than what I prefer and there is little scrunch at my ankles.

4. Rise – High 10.5" rise. The waistline rests right below my navel.

5. Waistband – 5" wide waistband, which adds extra comfort to the middle section and keeps the tummy tuck in.

6. Fabric – 73% Polyester 27% Spandex. Overall, the legging performed well when I wore to the class (80-85°F heated room). Comparing to Niyama Sol and Liquido leggings, I feel L'urv legging has slightly worse breathability. Some threads do mention polyester being poorer quality of Nylon and not as breathable. Even so, I am pretty happy with its performance.

7. Design for – Heated, non-heated yoga and daily wear. If you practice Bikram yoga, where the room temperature is heated to 104°F (40°C) with a humidity of 40%, I would suggest you to wear  thinner fabric, better moisture wicking and more breathable pants as opposed to L'urv leggings.

8. Cost – The retail price is AUD119 (~ $90). I bought it on sale from simply WORKOUT. There was buy one get one free deal, so I bought two pairs of yoga pants for $76 (the other pair is Niyama Sol Gray Wanderlust Endless Legging).

9. Stitch Seam – Comfortable flat locking seams (if you don't know what it is, please refer to Closet 101 for detail).

10. Crotch Seam – L'urv has very interesting design. I wasn't sure if I like it at first glance, but it's definitely growing on me. It does not have gusset and adjacent pieces of fabric are not put together into "+" seam either. Instead, two panels are inserted, one on each leg, from ankles and seam together in the center (crotch area).

L'urv legging has one unique feature, hanging loops. There are two of them sewn into the inside waistband (one on each side). I wonder how many people would use them to hang the pant up. Not me for sure, I fold and roll my yoga pants.

L'urv Spot Me Legging also comes with two other colors, White/Black Dot (bottom left picture) and Dusty Pink (bottom right picture).

Overall, I like the fun and unique design offered by L'urv, but there is room for improvement on quality and performance. When I started drafting this article, I had London Pop Legging in mind. The plan was changed after seeing unraveled seams on my London Pop Legging (left inner thigh) after one time wear. Luckily, the store is willing to send me a replacement. I will review London Pop Legging once I receive it. Regarding performance, the material is moisture wicking, but it does not release perspiration as fast as other pairs I owned. Since Spot Me Legging is relatively white, especially toward ankle area, it gets dirty pretty easily. I did see dirty spots after coming home from the practice. Fortunately, they can easily be cleaned.

Hi Phyllis, I normally wear size XS or 0, and size 4 for Lululemon. Hope it helps. Thank you:)

I recently bought ankle length gold LURV leggings. This is the first time I am trying this brand. Love the shimmering disco gold. I experienced the same problem as u. The hip area doesn't stay esp when I do squat, every up and down, I can feel it coming down and the crotch areas sort of hanging. If I go one size down, I will not be able to pull beyond my calfs. I am a AUS 6-8.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I bought two pairs of moto leggings in Dec, they seem to fit better, but I was disappointed by the materials. I will share it soon.

These leggings look trendy and comfortable. I would love to try these for my workout and see how these perform. I have been working out for some time now, and I believe that investing in good workout clothes helps a lot.
