Overall Rating - 9.2 / 10
PROS / Made with the lightweight material, Moonchild 7/8 Seamless legging is four-way stretch, breathable and moisture wicking. The ultra high flat waistband keeps everything tucked in and provides tons of support and coverage.
CONS / The type of the fabric weave is prone to snags. Avoid contact with any rough or sharp object.
BOTTOM LINE / I love the performance and fit of Moonchild 7/8 Seamless Legging. The fabric is stretchy, breathable, and moisture wicking. The ultra high waistband stays put with movement and provides great coverage for the belly. The legging is completely opaque (unlike the Seamless Legging in Dandelion Yellow I reviewed last week) and it does not show the panty line. It works well for various activities from yoga to high impact workouts.
* Disclaimer: The legging was gifted to me by Aktiv (Moonchild distributor in US), but the review is my own. You can use the code YoginisCloset to receive 15% off (I will NOT make any commission from using the code).
This is a continuance review of last week's post, Moonchild Yoga Wear - Seamless Legging & Crop Top in Dandelion Yellow. Since Moonchild 7/8 Seamless Legging shares many common features to it, I will focus more on the differences between these two this week.
Top: O'Neill Inspire Sports Bra, S (run small).

Details of Moonchild Yoga Wear 7/8 Seamless Legging in Onyx Black -
The legging is made in Europe.
I appreciate its super stretchy, light weight, breathable and sweat wicking fabric. It can be worn for various activities from yoga, Pilates to HIIT and strength training. Since it is Black, it hides wet spots from the sweaty workout. Therefore, it is a better choice for heated yoga than the Yellow Seamless Legging I reviewed last week. The ultra high waistband provides tons of support and it stays put with movement.
In general, light colored, non-patterned leggings show the sweat spots, especially around hip creases. If that is a concern for you, you definitely want to go with dark color leggings. In addition, when wearing a light colored legging, you have to wear a nude panty to avoid see-through.
Moonchild 7/8 Seamless Legging has the same gusset design as Lululemon Align Pant, an unlined panel extended down to the ankle. The fabric is prone to snags. After seeing the snag on the Yellow Seamless Legging, I've been careful when handling Moonchild Seamless Leggings including this pair. I wash them in a mesh laundry bag. As long as I handle it with care, fabric snagging is no longer a concern. For example, I wouldn't wear it to go hiking or sit on a rough surface. Different to the Dandelion Yellow, the Onyx Black is completely opaque and squat proof. For that reason, the pair has higher score in Quality than Moonchild Seamless Legging in Dandelion Yellow.
It runs small and I wear one size up, Small. Most seamless leggings run small. If you are not sure, just size up. The 7/8 length is perfect for petites. I understand that it can be frustrating and unflattering with extra fabric scrunching at the ankle. The 7/8 length legging is petite women's best friend. You can never go wrong with the black legging. It creates the most skinny look than any other color. In addition, this legging shapes my body curvatures well. Unlike other seamless leggings, it doesn't show camel toes and awkward panty lines.
This is the first ultra high waisted legging that I like. Different to others, it doesn't put pressure on my lower ribs and stays put with movement. I enjoy wearing it not only for yoga but also lounging at home. I sometimes pair it with a long shirt or dress going out as well.
Moonchild 7/8 Seamless Legging is perfect for petites who don't want to have extra fabric scrunching up at the ankle. Made with the same fabric as the full length legging, it is stretchy, breathable and sweat wicking. Unlike Dandelion Yellow (the color of the full length legging I reviewed last week), the Onyx Black is completely opaque and it doesn't show sweat spots. The ultra high waistband is pinch-free and comfortable. It provides lots of coverage and support for the midsection. The only reminder I have is to handle the legging with extra care to prevent fabric snagging.
