Overall Rating - 8.4 / 10
PROS / Uintah Collection Dakota Capri is made with the sleek synthetic fabric. It is four-way stretch, fast dry and moisture wicking. The capri is well made and provides basic needs for yoga and most workouts.
CONS / The capri is standard rise, which is not my preferred style. Neither does it provide support nor coverage for the midsection. The encased elastic band digs to the waist and shows the muffin top.
BOTTOM LINE / Uintah Collection Dakota Capri is reasonably priced and covers needs for yoga and gym workouts. It's stretchy and sweat wicking; however, the breathability is not the greatest. I don't particularly like the standard rise style as it lacks of support and doesn't hide the muffin top.
About Unitah Collection -
Uintah Collection was founded by two friends, Heather and Janie, in 2011. They both grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, and met each other while working for a fashion boutique in Utah. Ironically, they separately moved to New York to pursue their careers in fashion and ended up in the same line of work doing sales for wholesale showrooms. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, they were inspired to have something of their own. So, they decided to launch their own brand, Uintah Collection.
The name Uintah comes from the Uinta Mountain, a major water source for rivers and reservoirs in Utah. The collection is inspired with Utah in mind. From the Southern Red Rock desert to the Northern Rocky Mountain, there is absolutely nothing like it. Naturally, that becomes a part of their design. Uintah Collection embraces the importance of being unique in an era of sameness, giving women a platform to be seen for their natural, one-of-a-kind beauty. Every piece from Uintah Collection is designed and made in the USA.

I like to support small and start-up business whenever I can. I constantly look for athleisures that are not well known by general publication. Evolve is a good site to explore new brands and they carry lots of great items too. That's where I discover Uintah Collection. I am drawn to its unique design and print.
I didn't have the best customer service experience with Uintah. I ordered Tacoma Legging in Serrano (wasn't sold out when I placed the order) from them. Three days later, I was notified that the order was cancelled because the legging was no longer available. It took them three days to process an order, which was long but understandable. Later, I reached out to the customer services couple times (not just once) inquiring the ProFitness discount program, but I got no response. For that reason, I don't think I would order any item from Uintah in the future. In fact, I purchased Uintah Collection Dakota Capri from Evolve, which provides great customer service.
The capri is made in the USA.
Uintah Collection Dakota Capri (in purple printed) covers basic needs for yoga and gym workouts. It is medium compression. The polyester and nylon blend fabric is four-way stretch, moisture wicking and fast dry; however, it does not provide the best breathability. The sleek material is similar to Noli Yoga Ballerina Legging and it feels "synthetic" to me.
The capri is constructed with comfortable flatlocking seams and there is a lined gusset. It is definitely well made, better than some so-called "high-end" and expensive leggings that are constructed with overlocking seams. So far, I haven't experience pilling or color fading.
It is true to size and I wear an XS. The length is perfect for me (I am 5'2"). Overall, it fits and hugs my body well. It shapes my legs and lifts the bum nicely; however, I don't particularly like the waistband. Although it is 4" wide, it's not high waist. The waistband sits ~ 1" below my navel and doesn't provide much coverage. In addition to that, the encased elastic band "digs" in to my waist and shows the muffin top.
The elastic band is sewn on the waistband at about 3/8" below the top.
Uintah Collection Dakota Capri passes all the quality checks, including flatlocking seams, a gusset, 100% opaque and anti-pilling fabric. With that said, this is room for improvement in terms of the breathability.
Priced at $68, Uintah Collection Dakota Capri provides needs for most activities from yoga, gym workouts to running. The fabric is sleek, four-way stretch, quick dry and moisture wicking, but the breathability is so-so. The capri is well made. It shapes and lifts all the right places of the body; however, the encased elastic band doesn't hide the muffin top. Since the capri is standard rise, I find it lacking coverage for the midsection.
