Overall Rating - 9.5 / 10
PROS / Vimmia X High Waist Aztec Legging is a medium high compression legging, perfect for yoga and gym exercises. The fabric is four-way stretch, sweat wicking and fast dry, keeping me stay cool and dry during workout. It shapes the body curvatures well and the high waist provides support for the mid section.
CONS / Except for the encased elastic band that doesn't hide the muffin top well, there is nothing else I dislike about the legging. BOTTOM LINE / I am satisfied with the performance of Vimmia X High Waist Aztec Legging. The state of art material is four-way stretch, which offers freedom of movement and comfort. It is moisture wicking and fast dry. The legging keeps me warmer in cooler temperature and cooler in warmer temperature, i.e., in a heated yoga class. It would have been perfect if it has a flat waistband.

Although I am familiar with the brand Vimmia, VIMMIA X is new to me. I didn't know the VIMMIA X collection until recently. VIMMIA X is advertised as "a state of the art smart yarn containing far infrared technology that transforms human body heat into energy which provides both performance and cosmetic benefits." This innovative technology is enhanced with bioactive minerals. It increases blood microcirculation ensuring a high level of comfort, and improves the skin's appearance by reducing skin imperfections (cellulite). Since the technology is built into the yarn, its properties and benefits are supposed to remain wash after wash. According to Vimmia, they are the only company offering garments made from this yarn in the US.

Details of Vimmia X High Waist Aztec Legging -
Vimmia X High Waist Aztec Legging is my recent impulse purchase. I accidentally found it on super sale at Sculptique, and I simply couldn't pass the deal. I have to say that it is one of the best purchases I've ever made. It is inexpensive (after discount) and high performance. It gets my money's worth.
Let's take a look Vimmia X High Waist Aztec Legging.
The legging is made in USA.
Performance - As advertised, Vimmia X High Waist Aztec Legging is four-way stretch, fast dry and moisture wicking. The medium high compression fabric offers great muscles support for workouts. Personally, I prefer to wear it for high impact exercises more than yoga as I like less compression leggings for the practice. If I have to be picky, I'd say the breathability could have been improved. The fabric is thicker (heavier weight) than Niyama Sol RPET material (my favorite leggings for yoga), which can be one of the reasons that I find it less breathable. As far as the cosmetic benefits (reducing appearance of cellulite and increasing skin smoothes), I can't provide input here. It's recommended to wear the legging for at least 6 consecutive hours for 30 consecutive days to see the results, which I haven't had a chance to test. Quality - So far, Vimmia hasn't disappointed me with its quality. The legging is constructed with flatlocking seams and there is a gusset. I haven't observed discoloration and pilling after few wears and washes. Fit - The size of Vimmia has been very consistent and it's true to size. The XS hugs my body well. The legging is flattering. It not only creates a leggy look, but also lifts the bum nicely. I am glad that Vimmia finally makes high waist leggings. After reviewing Reversible Spellbound Legging, Vimmia reached out to me and told me that high waist leggings were coming soon. I do like how it provides more support and coverage for the belly; however, the encased elastic band is not my favorite element. Some people like it, but it's not for me. It doesn't cause discomfort per se, but it can show the muffin top. The inseam is 26.5" long. Unless I wear it over the heel or there is some fabric (not a lot) gathering at the ankle. By the way, I am 5'2" (158cm). Comfort - Vimmia X High Waist Aztec Legging is medium high compression, which I am not accustomed to wearing it for long hours. With that said, it is totally fine (comfortable) to wear for exercising. I just prefer less compression leggings when practicing yoga and lounging at home. Like I mentioned earlier, I don't like the elastic band, but it doesn't pinch into my waist or cause discomfort.
Vimmia X High Waist Aztec Legging is one of the best purchases I've ever made. For $30.3, it covers all the needs for activities I do and more. I am pleased by its state of art high performance material and flattering fit. The medium high compression fabric provides great muscles support and the high waist keeps everything tucked in. Although it felt short on breathability, it could just be me as I am used to lightweight leggings for heated yoga.
