Overall Rating - 9.5 / 10PROS / Yvette Shift Light Legging in Purple is one of the most comfortable leggings I've ever worn. The exceptionally soft fabric is lightweight, stretchy, breathable, fast dry and sweat wicking. The flat waistband stays put with movement and provides great coverage. Moreover, the legging sculpts the lower body very well. CONS / The legging shows VPL (visible panty lines) due to the lightweight / thin fabric. Wearing a seamless underwear is a must. Just like most non-black plain leggings, it shows sweat stains, especially by the hip crease and sacrum areas. BOTTOM LINE / I highly recommend Yvette Shift Light Legging to everyone who is looking for THE perfect yoga legging. It offers all performance needs as well as the comfortable and flattering fit. Most importantly, it is budget friendly. While there are so many things to like about this legging, it is prone to show panty lines and sweat stains. * Disclaimer: The outfit was gifted to me, but the review is my own. The company has 20 years of experience in professional development, design and sales of sports bras since 1999. They were mainly engaged in foreign trade OEM and underwear export business. It wasn't until 2014 when the company shifted the focus to the development path of the brand, Yvette. Details of Yvette Shift Light Legging in Purple -Top: Yvette Anywhere Criss-Cross Strappy Sports Bra, Grey, L (I should be wearing a M, which is 1-2 sizes bigger than my usual size). Bottom: Yvette Shift Light Legging, Purple, S (runs small). Finally, it feels like fall. The temperature in the Bay Are drops quite a bit this week. It went from 90s last week down to low 70s during the day and 40s at night. I was still wearing shorts in my practice, but now I have to wear a long sleeve during Sun Salutation A & B till I am warmed up. I know lots of people love this weather, but I prefer the heat. Though it feels cozy when bundling up, I enjoy wearing a tank top with either a short or a legging and the sandal. It is more comfortable than having multiple layers on me. Comfort is everything! Speaking of comfort, I want to introduce one of the most comfortable yoga pants I've ever tried, Yvette Shift Light Legging. I wasn't so sure when Yvette reached out to me for collaboration as the company focuses more on sports bras than leggings, and the design is more basic / plain than what I normally wear. That said, I am very impressed by their products. Let me share why I like about Yvette Shift Light Legging.
The legging is made in China. Performance - Yvette Shift Light Legging is a great yoga legging. The ultra soft fabric is four-way stretch, breathable and sweat wicking. It is lightweight which dries fast. It covers all performance needs for yoga. Since it is a low compression / light support legging, I don't recommend it for high impact workouts including weight lifting, spinning and HIIT. The fabric is quite similar to Lululemon Nulu, lightweight, stretchy and low compression. The difference is that Yvette Shift Light Legging is silkier and Nulu has more cottony feel. You can wear Yvette Shift Light Legging to whichever activity you would with Lululemon Align Pants. On that note, the legging is not sweat proof, just like Lululemon Align Pants (plain color ones). If showing sweat stains bothers you, either you don't wear it to sweaty classes or choose the Black color instead. I also like its flat waistband. It covers up to the navel and stays put with movement. You can clearly see the sweat stains along hip creases and by the sacrum in the pictures below. These two photos were taken post Ashtanga practice. Quality - I know there are people who prefer non-China made products, but that's not me. I care more about the quality than the manufacturing country. Yvette Shift Light Legging is made in China, but its quality is top notch. It is sewn with flatlocking stitches and there is a lined gusset. The legging is 100% opaque. Since the fabric is super lightweight, you must wear a seamless underwear to avoid VPL. Fit - The legging runs small and I wear one size up. Based on their size chart, I am between XS and S. I may be able to fit in an XS for a more compression fit, but I like how the S hugs my body. I don't want it to be snugger for yoga and the tightness can make panty lines more obvious. The length is perfect for my height, 5'2". It fits like an ankle length legging. I seldom wear plain leggings, but I really like this purple color. It is neutral but not boring. The dark color for sure creates a slim look. In addition, I am amazed by how well it shapes and lifts the butt, which is unexpected for a low compression legging. Comfort - Yvette Shift Light Legging is one of the most comfortable leggings I've ever worn. Just Like Lululemon Align Pant, it gives the next-to-nothing and naked-sensation. The fabric is lightweight and silky soft. The flat waistband is pinch-free. Besides wearing it for yoga, I love wear it when chilling and lounging at home. On the day I received the legging, I didn't want to take it off after putting in on. Yvette Shift Light Legging reminds me of Lululemon Align Pants next-to-nothing sensation. The silky soft fabric is four-way stretch, breathable, fast dry and sweat wicking; however, it is not sweat proof. This lightweight material is 100% opaque but prone to show panty lines. The legging is more suitable for yoga than high impact workouts because of the low compression and low muscles support fabric. In terms of the fit, Yvette Shift Light Legging is very flattering. It shapes and lifts all the right places of the body. The flat waistband keeps everything tucked in and provides great coverage. With the price only half of a Lululemon Align Pant, Yvette Shift Light Legging is definitely a winner. Details of Yvette Anywhere Criss-Cross Strappy Sports Bra in Grey -Since Yvette's focus is on sports bras, how can I not share one today? I choose the light support Anywhere Criss-Cross Strappy Sports Bra in Grey. I love it's design. The criss-cross strap on the back is so cute. It's perfect to style with an open back tank or shirt to show it off. Price - It is $42.99. Currently, it's on sale for $24.99. You can get additional 10% off by using the code yogi10. Material - 41% Polyamide, 40% Polyester and 19% Elastane. It is not as lightweight as the legging, but it's cottoney soft for sure.
It turns out that M of Yvette Anywhere Criss-Cross Strappy Sports Bra is too big on me. In addition, the straps are too long. I should be wearing a small. If I tie the straps to shorten them, the bra is a much better fit (bottom right picture). Although the bra is too loose for exercise, it is very comfortable to wear daily when I don't feel like putting a bra on. The sports bra comes with a pair of removable cups. I wish I receive the right size so that I can review its performance, fit and comfort. With that said, the quality is good. They have many cute sports bras, from high support to medium and low support, that provide various activities needs. I am so glad that Yvette reach out to me for collaboration. I think I find my new favorite activewear brand! Related Reviews -
