I've been wanting to try out 16:8 diet plan after hearing so many benefits from Yoga Talk Show by YOGABODY & Lucas Rockwood. 16:8 method is to eat within 8 hour window, and no eating for 16 hours. I finally gave it a shot that no food after 5PM until 9AM the next day, but I did drink water within 16 hour window.
I can't believe how hungry I was this morning during my Mysore practice. I was so hungry that my stomach started hurting. I had hard time engaging the core and bandhas about half way through the seated sequence in the Primary Series. I had to cut my practice short. I've given the pose up to Laghu Vajrasana in the second Series, but I stopped after finishing the Primary Series. I wonder if 16:8 diet plan just does work with my lifestyle or I am just not used to it. I hesitate to give it another try. I will start with 12 hours eating window for now.
